I have created bouquets for many amazing brides over the years, and they all start with one thing… a consultation. It is really important to have this initial discussion for me to both understand and be able to interpret your vision for your wedding day.

Ideally I would love to meet you in person, but for those of you that are further afield, be it in New Zealand or beyond, we can have an initial chat over the phone or via Skype at a time that suits you and meet in person closer to the big day.

You will get the most out of your consultation if you can show me pictures of flowers you love, the design of your dress, or even a sample piece of fabric…anything that represents your idea. If you need some inspiration you might find it in my portfolio, on Facebook or Pinterest

Some quick answers to those little questions…

  • When should I contact you about my wedding?

Each wedding season is a busy one, and popular dates fill up fast. To ensure that I can spend enough time and energy on each wedding I generally book only one or two weddings a weekend. Ideally it is best to get in touch as soon as you can to secure your date… flowers play a big part in the styling of your day and once you have them organised it can make lots of other wedding decisions easier.

  • How do I organise a consultation?

You can arrange a time to have a consultation with me through my contact page either by email or give me a call to discuss your flower fancies.

  • I’m based overseas and won’t be in the country until just before the wedding, can I still have a consultation?

Yes. We can arrange an initial consultation either over the phone or via Skype. Images of your favourite ideas can be emailed and it can be a good idea to start a board on Pinterest. Images are important so I can get a feel for the overall style you want for your wedding.

  • Where and when do we meet for a consultation?

I like to meet and have a chat over a cup of tea at a café that suits us both. I am available Monday to Friday, should you only be available to meet on the weekends just let me know and I will try my best to fit you in.

  • Can I order my ceremony and reception flowers through you?

Yes. I cater to all your floral needs. If you are using a venue that I am unfamiliar with I will visit the venue to get an accurate idea of what will work best.

  • I want to include flowers from my garden, can you use these in my bouquet?

Yes. Those little personal touches are what make your day special so if you have some favourite home-grown flora that you would like me to incorporate into your flowers just let me know.

  •  Do you provide vases? Can I use my own vases?

I’m totally flexible when it comes to vases… if you need me to source anything I can, alternatively it’s not a problem if you would like me to design flowers using your own containers or those at the venue.

  • Can you deliver my flowers on the day?

Yes. I can arrange delivery of all your flowers to wherever they need to be. If you or a family member would like to collect the flowers on the day then that is no problem as well.

  • What are the payment requirements, do I have to pay a deposit?

A 10% deposit is required at the time of booking with the balance to be paid two weeks before the day. I accept bank transfer and am flexible with payment options.

  • Help! I’ve changed my mind!

I know ideas evolve, if you do have a change of heart a couple of months out from the big day don’t worry, I’m flexible and will definitely be able to make your vision a reality.

  • I love flowers but I’m not sure where to start….

The best thing to do is to book a consultation. Most people have some idea of the colours they would like to include so this is a good place to start. The style of your bouquet can be influenced by your dress, your personality and the setting of your wedding. It is a good idea to have a look through some wedding magazines or online and bring these images with you to the consultation. There are some great online resources such asPinterest where you can get lots of inspiration.
